Description

The numbers refer to the total number of newly housed applicants in social housing who were previously homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The percentage figures refer to the total number of newly housed applicants in social housing who were previously homeless or at risk of homelessness by DCJ District, Gender, Age group and/or Family type in the reporting period as a percentage of the total number of newly housed applicants in social housing who were previously homeless or at risk of homelessness in the reporting period.

Clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness are regarded as priority applicants to be housed in social housing from the NSW Housing Register.  The number of vacant properties available for re-letting and suitability of the available properties to client needs are two main factors determining if an applicant will be housed in a social housing property.
