The large number of antisocial behaviour incidents which have been managed using the Antisocial Behaviour Management Policy demonstrates that DCJ is actively managing antisocial behaviour in public housing.

There are also some good signs that the policy is effective in reducing antisocial behaviour. The fact that the large majority of people do not progress to a Strike after being issued a Warning is a positive indicator. The trend is continued through the fact that less than 2% of the 5,861 Warnings issued proceeded to a Third Strike.

The issuing of a Warning or Strike is not the only effective strategy to manage antisocial behaviour, though it has a significant influence. Engagement with support services helps tenants causing antisocial behaviour to change their behaviour and stabilise their tenancy.
