Place Plan Program – a Future Directions initiative
Place Plans Program
The Place Plans program closed on 30 June 2020.
We would like to acknowledge and thank all Place Plan staff and partners who have delivered the program over the past five years.
The Place Plans Program supported place-based projects in social housing communities. Projects aimed to increase meaningful community participation in local programs and services.
Continuing projects and initiatives
Activities will continue in some locations. Some activities will transition to ‘business as usual’ or will be driven by partner agencies. These are currently being finalised.
The DCJ will also work with partner agencies to increase referrals into other similar DCJ programs, including:
- Opportunity Pathways
- Tenant Participation and Community Engagement
- Targeted Early Intervention
- Brighter Futures
- DCJ Scholarships.
DCJ is committed to supporting social housing clients to access relevant programs. We will continue to work with our partners to maximise opportunities to continue Place Plan activities and initiatives.

The key initiative is the Claymore Neighbourhood Action Board (CNAB) - a group of local resident leaders who identify local issues, develop and implement solutions either alone or with partners using a Collective Impact approach. Priorities are reviewed and periodically updated. The current priorities are:
