Social Housing Community Improvement Fund (SHCIF)

Funding Requirements
Funding is subject to applicants providing documentation and details required by DCJ to complete a funding agreement, including land owner approval for the proposed works and evidence of development application consent (or exemption where needed).
Organisations will need to collaborate, plan and / or implement projects with local social housing tenants to maximise the benefits to social housing tenants and the broader community.
Progress Reporting
You are required to provide progress updates upon request by your DCJ District Officer, approximately every three months.
In April 2017, Round One projects will be asked to submit a 'SHCIF15 - Progress Report' on SmartyGrants (the online grants management portal) using your organisation’s account details. This form will be attached to your submitted application at the end of March 2017.
Completion Reporting
SHCIF projects must be completed within 12 months of the funding agreement being signed by DCJ.
Recipients must advise their District Officer when their project is complete and submit a Completion Report and Acquittal Statement in SmartyGrants within 30 days of project completion.
Once logged into SmartyGrants:
- Fill in the Completion Report form attached to your record in SmartyGrants.
- Download an Acquittal Statement by clicking on the link below. Complete the form and have it signed by two authorised representatives of your organisation. Scan and attach it to your Completion Report in SmartyGrants.
- Once completed and all evidence is attached click the 'review & submit' button to officially lodge your report.
