New England Regional Sustainable Housing and Homelessness Group

This service is responsible for coordinating and delivering five homelessness interagency support and referral groups, and is delivered through five coordination groups across the regional centres of Armidale, Moree, Narrabri, Inverell and Tamworth.

These coordination groups support families and individuals who are identified as being at imminent risk of homelessness to remain safely in their existing housing or to secure stable housing.

The service supports Aboriginal people, young people, women, men, and families, including those affected by domestic and family violence, individuals or families with complex needs, people exiting correctional facilities, and people with multiple occurrences of homelessness.

It has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal people and families, and is accessible to people and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
