Moree Homelessness Support Service

The service supports young people, men, women and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including women and women with children affected by domestic and family violence, young parents, and young people leaving care or other institutions.

It provides client-centred homelessness support, including prevention and early intervention, rapid rehousing, crisis and transitional accommodation, and intensive responses for people with complex needs.

Support is provided in the Moree Plains Shire, including regular servicing of outlying communities such as Mungindi, Boggabilla and Toomelah, in response to need.

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal young people, women, men and families, and is accessible to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

This service provides the women’s refuge, Moree Women’s Refuge - Ngala House.
