Inverell Refuge Centre Rural and Outreach Support Service

This service provides information, education, support and referral for men, women, families and young people to deal with or avoid situations of domestic and family violence or homelessness.

It works with individuals and groups to develop personal capacity, skills, self worth, and independence through education and in partnership with specialist homelessness services.

The service works collaboratively with specialist homelessness services and other service providers to identify, engage and refer clients to programs and services appropriate for their identified needs, and to add value to the supports and interventions available through the broader homelessness and generalist support systems.

The service supports vulnerable, marginalised and disadvantaged people in the community, including people and families from Aboriginal, low socio-economic, and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds located in the Inverell, Glen Innes Severn, Gwydir, Guyra, Tenterfield and Uralla local government areas, including satellite communities such as Bundarra and Tingha.

This service supports: young people; women; men; families
