Coffs Harbour, Bellingen and Nambucca Homelessness Support Service for Women
The service identifies women with or without children who are escaping domestic and family violence and are at imminent risk of homelessness. It provides supported crisis accommodation and transition support with or without accommodation, and intensive responses for women and children with complex needs.
The service delivers prevention, early intervention, and rapid re-housing, and has specific strategies to ensure Aboriginal women receive culturally appropriate responses that meet their needs.
The service also has specific strategies to support women with disabilities, mental health issues, or substance misuse issues. While the priority group is women with children who are escaping domestic and family violence, support is also given to single women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
