Central Coast Accommodation and Support Service for Women with or without Accompanying Children

The Central Coast Accommodation and Support Service for Women with or without Accompanying Children (also known as Coast Shelter) supports women with or without accompanying children who have high and complex needs, including women escaping domestic and family violence who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Support includes case management, rapid re-housing, post crisis support and assisted referrals to a range of other specialist support services (eg health, drug & alcohol, legal and court support). It also provides general, personal and emotional support; advocacy and assistance to obtain long term housing.

This service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal women and families as well as clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. It also provides Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) to strength their after hours responses to women in crisis.

This service provides three women's refuges:
