Central Coast Homeless Youth Assistance Program (HYAP)

Central Coast Homeless Youth Assistance Program (trading as Allambi Youth Homelessness Services) supports unaccompanied children and young people aged 12 to 15 years old who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

This service provides early intervention support, supported crisis accommodation and case management support. This service engages with other relevant supported services and community-based programs to support children and their families.  It also provides on-call support; advocacy, brokerage and income support services; access to clinical support, and educational, employment and financial assistance; referral to external agencies and services, e.g. education, employment, health, domestic violence, and drug and alcohol services.

Clients are supported through their transition from the service with exit planning meetings, and programs can be extended where required by a client.

Aboriginal children and young people are given priority of access.
