Canterbury Bankstown Multicultural Family Homelessness Support Service (operating as Linking Hearts Multicultural Family Services)

This service includes two refuges for women and children and provides safe and supported crisis and transitional accommodation for families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It also provides safe houses for women with children who are escaping domestic and family violence, and helps them to be rapidly re-housed in private rental or social housing.

The service is targeted at families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, which may include single parents with children, couples with children, and refugees.

Once housed, post-crisis follow-up is provided through wraparound support and the use of brokerage funds. The service links with other support services and programs, including the Staying Home Leaving Violence program.

This service supports: women; families
