Bega Homelessness Support Service

The Bega Homelessness Support Service supports single men and women as well as families, including women and children experiencing domestic and family violence who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service includes Bega Women’s Refuge.

The service provides early intervention and prevention through outreach. It provides holistic support to adults and families whose tenancies are at risk, to sustain those tenancies; and supported crisis and transitional accommodation while homeless people are supported to secure long-term accommodation.

It also provides post-crisis support to help clients resolve any issues that caused their homelessness as well as support for those experiencing mental health issues.

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal people and is accessible to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.  It also provides Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) to strength their after hours responses to women in crisis.
