Adele House

Adele House is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation service that provides places in its program for referrals from specialist homelessness service (SHS) providers for men over 18 years of age with addiction or substance use issues who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

It also extends support to clients’ families, identifying and addressing issues that could potentially impact on the security of their accommodation during the client’s participation in the program, as well as factors that could negatively affect a client's longer-term housing stability and reintroduction into the community.

This is done through group work with family members, phone outreach and counselling, and referrals to and collaboration with other service providers that are specialised in women, family and children.

The service also offers workforce mentoring and coaching to SHS staff working with these client groups.

This service supports: young people; men; families
