Aboriginal Women and Children's Crisis Service

This service supports Aboriginal women with children, and women with Aboriginal children who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness due to domestic and family violence.


It delivers prevention and early intervention, supported crisis and transitional accommodation, rapid rehousing, and intensive responses for those with complex needs, and assist families to secure long-term accommodation. Outreach support services to Aboriginal women with children are also included.


It also provides sector development support for mainstream homelessness service providers to build their capacity for meeting the needs of Aboriginal families. This includes cultural awareness training, collaborative case management/mentoring of staff, early intervention services.


This service provides Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) to strength their after-hours responses to women in crisis.
