The NSW Community Housing Access Policy sets out the NSW Government’s requirements for access to social housing, housing delivered under the Social and Affordable Housing Fund, affordable housing, co-operative housing, transitional housing, transitional housing plus and/or crisis accommodation managed by community housing providers in NSW.

The Policy applies to all properties governed by the contractual agreement with a community housing provider (a Community Housing Assistance Agreement). Failure to use best endeavours to comply with policy requirements is cause for review of an organisation’s registration status under the NSW Regulatory Framework and the National Regulatory System for Community Housing.
