Family group conferencing in a child welfare context - literature review - July 2006 - Research report

Family group conferencing (FGC) is a method of resolving, or attempting to resolve, family issues in relation to child protection. It brings together the family, the child and professionals to meet and develop a plan for future action. FGC began in New Zealand in the late 1980s, growing out of Maori cultural practice, and spread to many countries across the world through the 1990s.
