Illawarra Homelessness Coordination Service

This service provides a centralised access point to link young people, adults and families (including single parent families) to local support services, community engagement facilities and casual client facilities. It links people to other local support services as well as emergency and transitional accommodation within the Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama local government areas.

It provides supported accommodation to clients and support to people whose tenancies are at risk or who have insecure accommodation. Outreach is provided to people who are sleeping rough.

The service operates in a cooperative and collaborative service network of community that work together in partnership to deliver services to people at risk of homelessness or those who are already homeless.

The service has strong networks across the Illawarra and a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal young people, women, men and families. It is also accessible to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

This service supports: young people; women; men; Aboriginal people; families
