Rent and Sales Report - interactive dashboard

The Rent and Sales report is the sole authoritative source of data on NSW rent movements. Data are processed to meet the Australian Statistical Geography Standard of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and aggregated to report on the ABS and non-ABS geographic structures. From the September 2017 Report the data has been transitioned to an online dashboard system. Read reports for periods prior to September 2017. The rent data relates to private market dwellings and do not include rental bonds paid by tenants in social housing properties.

The rent and sales statistics are available to users in downloadable Excel files below. For more information on the reports read the sales explanatory notes or read the rent explanatory notes.
