Getting It Together
About the program
Getting It Together (GIT) is an early intervention program to assist vulnerable young people aged between 12 and 25 years of age with alcohol and/or drug problems. Priority is given to young people aged under 18 years of age.
The program provides services and support for young people to transition to, or resume self-sufficient living, free of dependence on alcohol and/or drugs.
GIT services deliver either brokerage or brokerage and case management. This may include assessment, referral, case planning and casework to address the income, health, mental health, social support, housing, justice, education, employment and training needs of young service users.
The program’s funded services also deliver training and workshops and participate in the development of local service networks.
