The Community Housing Leasing Program provides funding to registered community housing providers to headlease properties from the private rental market to provide social housing.

Following a review of the Community Housing Leasing Program, a new approach to the management of the program has being implemented.

Under the new approach, community housing providers receiving funding for social housing are provided with an aggregated funding allocation and are required to meet a set property quota.

Further detail on the funding approach and the new program requirements is set out in the attached Community Housing Leasing Program Guidelines. The Guidelines set out the objectives for the program, use of the funding, processes for managing changes to the funding allocation and quota, and reporting and performance requirements.

Please see the Community Housing Leasing Program Guidelines for more information.
