All NSW government agencies are now required to use the Human Services Agreement (HSA) when procuring human services from non government organisations. This includes existing human services contracts that are being renewed.

The HSA is a standard contract that will make it easier for NGOs to do business with government by streamlining contracting arrangements and promoting consistency across the NSW government.

To minimise any impact on current service providers and the services FACS and its NGO partners provide to vulnerable people in the community, existing contracts will remain in place until their expiry. FACS will implement the HSA as funding is renewed.

The majority of FACS human services contracts will expire in 2020. A small number of contracts will expire earlier and are shown below.

  • Aboriginal Child and Family Centres
  • Ageing Grants
  • Brighter Futures
  • Carers Grants
  • Food Programs
  • Forgotten Australians
  • Housing Communities Program
  • KTS Protecting Aboriginal Children Together
  • NSW Spectacles Program
  • OOHC non placement services
  • Tenant Participation Resource Services
