OOHC agencies in the former Community Services Hunter Central Coast region (now part of the Central Coast and Hunter New England Districts) are now able to apply for a Restoration Support Payment to assist with restoration.

The payment is available to support restoration for children and young people in the pilot site placed with an OOHC service provider who has case management or can demonstrate they are undertaking the bulk of restoration-related casework. The child or young person must have a court order or a case plan that identifies restoration as a goal or there must be an agreement between DCJ and the OOHC service provider to work towards an application to the Children’s Court to change the court order.

More information on the payment can be found in the Revised Restoration Support Payment Guidelines including eligibility, how to apply and the payment structure. The revisions to these guidelines were endorsed by the Child Protection System Taskforce on 23 April 2015.

To apply for the payment, please read the Business Rules and submit a completed Payments to OOHC Service Providers to Support Restoration Activity – Application Form with a tax invoice to HNESubmissions@facs.nsw.gov.au in the Hunter New England District Child and Family Regional Unit (CFDU) or central.coastc&fru@facs.nsw.gov.au in the Central Coast CFDU.
