Queanbeyan Domestic and Family Violence Homelessness Support Service

This service provides crisis accommodation for those escaping domestic violence. The service works with single women and women with children who are escaping domestic and family violence, and men to access early intervention support, information, referrals to targeted services, temporary accommodation, support in securing community and private tenancies, transitional accommodation, intensive support, and holistic, planned crisis responses.

The service identifies men and women with or without children who are escaping domestic and family violence and are at imminent risk of homelessness, and supports them to remain safely in their existing housing or, where appropriate, assists them to secure and sustain stable housing. It provides crisis and transitional accommodation, and intensive responses for men, women and children with complex needs.

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal people and is accessible to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
