Lightning Ridge Homelessness and Housing Support Service

This service provides the women’s safe house Lightning Ridge Women and Children’s Safe House (call 6829 1044 – 24/7 on-call response). 

The service targets young people, adults and families, including women escaping domestic and family violence who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and provides support for the safe house. It also provides early intervention and post-crisis support, helps clients to access long-term secure accommodation, and supports them to maintain these tenancies. 

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
