Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex or Queer Youth Homelessness Project

This service provides responses for young people under the age of 25 years who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or queer (LGBTIQ), who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. It supports young people to engage with family, and education and training, and helps to prevent the escalation of issues leading to homelessness.

The service provides transitional accommodation with support, and helps to rapidly re-house those who become homeless. It also provides intensive, multi-disciplinary support, working with other agencies for people with complex needs, and follow-up support to ensure clients who were previously homeless do not become homeless again.

The service ensures responses are accessible to Aboriginal young people and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
