2017 NSW Grandparents Day grants applications closing soon

Applications for 2017 NSW Grandparents Day event grants close on Friday 14 July at 5pm.

A total of $200,000 in funding is available for community events that celebrate grandparents and provide opportunities for older people to participate in activities with their families and communities.

All not-for-profit and community organisations and groups, schools, childcare centres, and local government authorities based in NSW can apply.

Workplaces or businesses that plan activities or projects that support the needs of older people can also apply.

Three funding categories will be offered to distribute $200,000 in funding across NSW:

Category 1
$100 to $1,000 for small-scale local community events or activities targeted at community organisations, groups  and schools.

Category 2
$1,001 – $5,000 for local community events, targeted at larger community organisations and groups.

Category 3
$5,001 - $10,000 for large-scale community events targeted at local councils in partnership with organisations and groups.

Category 3 funding is available to local government organisations only.

NSW Grandparents Day celebrates the contributions grandparents and older people make to their families and communities.

This year NSW Grandparents Day will be celebrated on Sunday 29 October.
