I was a teacher for 13 years and seeing what some of our students were dealing with in their home lives caused me sleepless nights. I worried about what happened after the report (to the Helpline) was made. I wanted to do more, Bianca, DCJ.
At DCJ we value candidates with a range of life experiences and backgrounds.Interestingly, many of our caseworkers began their careers as nurses, police officers, teachers and counsellor.
We consider a range of qualifications including a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare or related disciplines. The suitability of your previous qualifications will be considered with reference to relevant subjects within your degree, and any additional qualifications, training, and work experience, including volunteer work.
